EMCC

European Mentoring and Coaching Council
Who is EMCC?
EMCC is made up of Affiliated Country and region EMCCs and their membership plus direct members where a local EMCC does not yet exist.  The Council is responsible for EMCC strategy and steering the organisation.
It is made up of delegates from each of the following affiliated EMCCs – Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the Asia Pacific Region.
The EMCC exists to develop, promote, and set the expectation of best practice in mentoring, coaching, and supervision globally for the benefit of society.

About EMCC Global Individual Accreditation (EIA)

​The EMCC Global EIA is an internationally recognised award that demonstrates that an individual practising as a professional mentor/coach has the appropriate level of knowledge and the ability to apply it effectively in their practice. The EIA sets very high standards and is recognised as a quality mentor/coach accreditation in the marketplace. It raises standards and professionalism in mentoring/coaching by:

  • Setting high standards in assessment criteria
  • Measuring ability against our evidence-based competence framework
  • Using reliable and rigorous assessment processes
  • Demanding a professional, reflective approach
  • Ensuring a commitment to continuing development.

Who is it for?
The EIA is relevant for anyone involved in mentoring/coaching, whether it is just one part of the role or a main function. You can apply for accreditation at the appropriate level, from Foundation to Master Practitioner.

The advantage of the EMCC’s accreditation process is that you can join and get accredited early on in your experience as a mentor/coach. As developments occur you can gain accreditation at higher levels reflecting growth, ability, and experience.

Having an EIA award distinguishes individuals as a professional mentor/coach, with sound underpinning knowledge and the ability to demonstrate ability against demanding and rigorous standards. Specifically, it

How to gain EIA accreditation with EMCC at foundation, practitioner or senior practitioner level

Arema proudly holds the EMCC Global Quality Award (EQA) which is the benchmark quality standard for mentoring/coaching training programmes. Learners who have completed their qualifications with us, ILM Level 5 or 7 in Coaching and Mentoring, can be put you through our accelerated process.

EMMC membership

Before gaining EIA accreditation you must first become a member of EMCC. This process can start at any time through your qualification. There is a discounted membership for ILM Students you will need to contact Arema to obtain centre information for the discount to work
